Compare wiring devices side by side
Every electrical rating, protection feature, USB output, wiring method and finish we publish — in one table. Tick two to four models and the differences are highlighted for you. No price, no login, no download gate.

What each group of fields actually decides
15A / 5-15R and 20A / 5-20R are not interchangeable. A 20A receptacle accepts both plugs; a 15A one does not accept a 20A plug. Match the branch circuit, not the room.
Shutter mechanism required by NEC 406.12 in dwelling-unit receptacles. Specify TR for housing, dorms and multifamily — it is not an upsell on commercial corridors.
UV-stable, gasketed construction for damp and wet locations. Only the WR models carry it; a TR model used outdoors will be flagged at inspection.
Every GFCI we ship is Class A with a 5mA ±1mA trip level, automatic self-test and reset lockout. Required by UL 943 — there is no non-self-test option in the catalog.
The number is the total shared output published for the device, not the figure for one port. It decides whether the wall charges a phone, a tablet, or a laptop without an adapter.
USB-A + USB-C covers legacy cables; dual USB-C is the forward-looking spec and the one to standardise on for new builds.
Back wire and side wire are both listed where the device carries them. At 20A, check the row before you commit a specification sheet.
Devices and plates are drawn from one palette so a unit turn or guest room stays consistent. Colour availability is confirmed per model when you quote.
Questions this table usually answers
Should I standardise on 15A or 20A?
Match the circuit. Kitchens, laundry and garage circuits on 20A branch wiring take 20A / 5-20R devices. Standard living and bedroom circuits take 15A. Mixing them is the most common submittal rejection we see — filter by amperage here and quote the whole package in one specification.
Can one model be both TR and WR?
Yes, and for outdoor or damp locations it must be. Use both protection filters to see only those models — the weather-resistant GFCI line carries TR and WR together.
Is 65W USB overkill for a hotel room?
It depends on what is on the desk. A 20W device covers phones; 36W covers phone plus tablet. If the room is expected to charge a laptop without an adapter, specify 65W — that is the whole point of putting USB-C PD in the wall.
Do wall plates have to match the device series?
They have to match the opening: toggle, duplex, decorator and blank are four different cut-outs. The finishes are shared across all four, so a room stays consistent as long as you keep the opening type straight.
Can I compare models across categories?
Yes — that is what this table is for. A GFCI with USB, a USB receptacle and a plain duplex all appear together so you can see where the protection and the output actually diverge before you build an RFQ.
Send the list, get the package back
Model list, quantities and project type is all we need to start. The quotation comes back in one business day with the specification sheet for each line item, the listing reference it holds and the packing detail for the DC — one document, not four.
