What this setting demands

The four decisions behind every offices order

Each one is a line on the drawing and a line on the quote — stated against the code or the rating that puts it there.

Every desk has a laptop, and laptops need watts

A phone charger does not power a laptop. 65W PD USB-C models exist for that load, with an 18W QC USB-A alongside, so a workstation can be one yoke instead of a receptacle plus an adapter.

Commercial circuits are 20A

Office fit-out runs 20A circuits, so the receptacle has to match: 20A NEMA 5-20R in tamper-resistant and decorator formats. Matching the amperage up front avoids a substitution in the field.

20ANEMA 5-20RTR

Lighting runs on 277V in commercial buildings

Rocker switches rated 120/277V cover the tenant lighting circuits — single pole, 3-way and 4-way — so one switch family serves the whole floor plan instead of two part numbers.

Fit-out schedules are short

Tenant improvement timelines leave little room for a substitution. Our lines come back mapped to a real model with amperage, NEMA configuration and USB output stated, so the electrical contractor can order against the drawing.

Installation notes
  • A 20A receptacle does not upgrade a 15A circuit — the branch circuit, device and plug have to agree, so the schedule states amperage per line.
  • USB-C PD output is stated per model: 20W PD, 36W and 65W PD are three different specifications, and only the higher two carry a laptop.
  • 120/277V rocker switches mean the same part number serves tenant lighting and mechanical circuits.
  • Decorator receptacles need a decorator plate (T9603); standard duplex takes T9602.
  • Seven finishes let the client-facing areas match the interior package while back-of-house stays stock white.
Procurement

Fit-out orders are usually one PO per floor or per tenant, delivered against the construction schedule.

  • Quoted against the drawing: amperage, NEMA configuration, USB output and finish stated per line.
  • Mixed container across receptacles, USB, switches and plates.
  • Private label and carton marking for contractor or distributor stocking programs.
Purchasing FAQ

Offices questions we get before the PO

Is 20W USB enough for an office desk?

20W PD covers phones and tablets. A laptop needs the 36W or 65W PD models — the 65W PD outlets also carry an 18W QC USB-A port for a second device.

Do you stock 20A office receptacles?

Yes — TDT20 (20A TR duplex, NEMA 5-20R) and the 20A USB family are stocked. A 20A device is only correct where the branch circuit is 20A and the cord cap matches.

Can one switch family cover tenant lighting?

The rocker family is rated 15A 120/277V in single pole, 3-way, 4-way and combination formats, so tenant lighting and common-area circuits can be served from one series.

Do the plates match across device families?

Plates are stocked in toggle (T9601), duplex (T9602) and decorator (T9603) openings, all with a smooth face and the same seven colors.

How fast can a fit-out schedule be quoted?

Send the device list and floor counts; every line comes back mapped to a real model. Quote response is targeted at one business day, and production timing is confirmed per quantity band.

Send the list, get the package back

Model list, quantities and project type is all we need to start. The quotation comes back in one business day with the specification sheet for each line item, the listing reference it holds and the packing detail for the DC — one document, not four.
