One device list per unit type, repeated across the property
Kitchen and bath GFCI, TR receptacles for the unit turn, decorator switches and plates that match the new finish.
The four decisions behind every multifamily & renovation order
Each one is a line on the drawing and a line on the quote — stated against the code or the rating that puts it there.
Replacing receptacles pulls TR into scope
In a renovation, the receptacle you install is governed by the same TR rules as new work — NEC 406.12 covers which 15A and 20A locations require tamper-resistant devices. Specifying TR up front avoids a re-inspection on the turn.
Kitchens and baths carry the GFCI load
Countertop, island and bath locations are the GFCI lines on a unit drawing. Self-test GFCI reduces the callbacks that come from devices residents never test.
Turns happen on a schedule, not on demand
Apartment programs buy in unit-type quantities so crews can pull a kit and finish a unit. We quote by unit type so the schedule does not depend on a pallet being repacked on site.
Plates and finishes are visible to the resident
The plate is the part the tenant actually sees. Decorator, duplex and toggle openings in seven colors let the finish schedule match the paint and trim package.
Device schedule for multifamily & renovation
Placement to part number to the reason it fits — every model below is in the catalog with its amperage, NEMA configuration and TR/WR status on the spec sheet.

Scene photography is representative. Ask your sales engineer for project-specific photos or a live walkthrough of the settings you are specifying for.
- TR and WR are separate ratings — a weather-resistant duplex is not automatically tamper-resistant, so both are stated per model in the catalog.
- Decorator receptacles need a decorator (T9603) opening; a standard duplex plate will not cover them.
- Self-test GFCI is the option that removes monthly manual testing from the maintenance calendar.
- The same plate family covers toggle, duplex and decorator openings, so one finish order covers the whole unit.
- Back-wire and side-wire terminals both accepted; three-way and four-way switches are stocked for two- and three-point control.
Renovation programs are quoted by unit type, not by pallet.
- Kit-per-unit-type quoting so crews pull one box per apartment.
- Mixed container across all five families and seven finishes.
- Carton marks and case pack labelling set to your receiving rules.
Multifamily & Renovation questions we get before the PO
Do we have to use tamper-resistant receptacles in a renovation?
Tamper-resistant requirements attach to receptacle locations in scope, not only to new construction — NEC 406.12 is the provision our catalog cites. Specifying TR at the unit turn keeps the inspected device and the installed device the same part number.
Which model replaces a standard duplex receptacle?
TMDR15 (15A non-TR) and TDT15 (15A TR) are the same duplex format, so the choice is the TR requirement at that location. For a decorator look, TMSR15 / TMSR20 use a decorator opening.
Can switches, receptacles and plates come in one shipment per building?
Yes — all five families mix in one container, and we quote by unit type so packing matches the order of the turn schedule.
What is the difference between TDTW15 and TDT15?
TDTW15 adds a weather-resistant rating (TR/WR) for damp and wet locations such as laundry areas and exterior walls. TDT15 is the indoor tamper-resistant version.
How are quantities quoted for a multi-building program?
Send the unit types and counts. Each line comes back mapped to a real model with amperage, NEMA configuration, TR/WR status and finish stated, so your estimator can check it line by line.

Send the list, get the package back
Model list, quantities and project type is all we need to start. The quotation comes back in one business day with the specification sheet for each line item, the listing reference it holds and the packing detail for the DC — one document, not four.
