Weather-resistant where the wall faces the weather
TR/WR self-test GFCI and TR/WR duplex devices for exteriors, laundry walls and commercial washrooms.
The four decisions behind every outdoor & wet locations order
Each one is a line on the drawing and a line on the quote — stated against the code or the rating that puts it there.
Weather-resistant is a separate rating from GFCI
A device can be GFCI and not weather-resistant. Exterior and damp walls need both, which is why the TR/WR models carry both ratings in one yoke and state it on the face.
Exterior receptacles are a cover question as well
The device is only half of the installation: a listed weather-resistant cover is required at outdoor locations. We supply the device; the cover has to be specified with it, and it is not part of our current range.
Laundry and utility walls sit in the damp zone
Laundry, utility and mechanical walls are the interior locations that go TR/WR rather than plain TR. Specifying one model across them keeps the device list short.
Wet walls need maintenance-free protection
Exterior and washroom GFCI is exactly where nobody tests monthly. Self-test monitoring flags end-of-life on the LED so a failed device is visible on a walkthrough instead of discovered by a resident.
Device schedule for outdoor & wet locations
Placement to part number to the reason it fits — every model below is in the catalog with its amperage, NEMA configuration and TR/WR status on the spec sheet.
| Placement | Device | Why this model |
|---|---|---|
| Exterior wall and patio | WTST15 / WTST20 | Self-test GFCI, TR + weather-resistant, NEMA 5-15R or 5-20R |
| Garage, laundry and utility wall | TDTW15 / TDTW20 | TR/WR duplex, 15A or 20A, NEMA 5-15R / 5-20R |
| Commercial washroom | TST15 / TST20 | Self-test GFCI with TR shutters for indoor wet-room walls |
| Exterior lighting control | TM-4 | 15A 120/277V rocker for exterior and mechanical circuits |

Scene photography is representative. Ask your sales engineer for project-specific photos or a live walkthrough of the settings you are specifying for.
- WR and TR are separate ratings — the catalog states both per model, and our TR/WR models carry each on the face.
- Exterior installations need a listed weather-resistant cover; we do not currently supply covers, so that line is marked for confirmation.
- Self-test GFCI is the maintenance answer for exterior and washroom locations that nobody tests monthly.
- Both 15A and 20A TR/WR devices are stocked so the exterior line matches the branch circuit.
- Devices ship with the matching wall plate; outdoor cover assemblies are a separate purchase.
Exterior and wet-location orders usually combine devices and covers from different suppliers.
- TR/WR GFCI and duplex devices in 15A and 20A, mixed with the rest of the device list.
- Seven finishes for plates on covered exterior locations.
- Sample units for the authority or inspector review.
Outdoor & Wet Locations questions we get before the PO
Is a GFCI automatically weather-resistant?
No. Ground-fault protection and weather resistance are separate ratings. The WTST15 / WTST20 models carry both TR and WR ratings in one device for exterior and damp locations.
What is required at an outdoor receptacle?
A listed weather-resistant cover is required at outdoor locations in addition to a WR-rated device. We supply the device; covers are outside our current range and are specified separately.
Which interior locations need WR devices?
Damp interior locations such as laundry, utility and mechanical walls typically go TR/WR. TDTW15 and TDTW20 are the TR/WR duplex models for those walls.
Do you have 20A weather-resistant devices?
Yes — WTST20 (GFCI) and TDTW20 (duplex) are the 20A TR/WR models, both on NEMA 5-20R.
How do I confirm the exterior rating for a submittal?
Every line comes back with amperage, NEMA configuration and TR/WR status stated per model, which is the data a submittal package needs. Any additional exterior documentation is supplied with the quotation when it exists.

Send the list, get the package back
Model list, quantities and project type is all we need to start. The quotation comes back in one business day with the specification sheet for each line item, the listing reference it holds and the packing detail for the DC — one document, not four.
