Samples in five working days, production in 25–35

The dates do not live in a brochure. They are gate-to-gate: what has to be approved before the run is released, and what the ship actually takes.

Two further figures have been stated in our own sourcing notes — 7–15 days for a SKU held in stock, 30–45 days for an OEM run with new artwork or marking changes. They are not yet confirmed as a per-order table, so they are quoted per order rather than stated here.

Sampling

What a sample order covers

Sampling exists to catch a marking, a finish or an artwork problem while it is still cheap to fix.

Standard models

Samples from existing molds, in any of the seven finishes, shipped in five working days.

Existing molds7 finishes

Cost approach

Sample cost and freight are usually charged, and can be credited against the first production order.

Private-label proof

Where markings, artwork or carton identity change, the sample is what the artwork is approved against — before the run, not after the cartons are printed.

Finish samples

Colour chips and finish samples for property or retail programs, so the specification and the shelf agree before the order is placed.

Where the schedule moves

Four things that reset the clock

Production starts after the deposit and after artwork confirmation. Anything that changes the carton or the marking restarts the count at approval, not at the purchase order.

The standard bands assume nothing has to be designed, tooled or registered. In practice most slippage on a first program order comes from one of the four lines below, and three of them are decisions on your side rather than capacity on ours.

  • Stock supply moves faster than a production run. Ask for the current position on the models you need before you build a deadline around production.
  • A new tool, a new colour or a new box design adds its own approval step before production can be released.
  • Multiple listing of your brand in UL's directory is a documentation process measured in weeks. It belongs at quotation stage, not beside the shipping deadline.
  • Holiday shutdowns are not inside the standard bands. Confirm the window against your delivery date on the quote.
Commercial terms

The terms that travel with the schedule

Quoted per order, stated here so the first conversation is about models and dates rather than paperwork.

ItemTerms
Payment30% T/T deposit with the order, 70% T/T before shipment. L/C at sight negotiable on larger or returning accounts.
Trade termsFOB Ningbo or Shanghai; CFR, CIF and DDP to US and Canadian addresses quoted per order.
Minimum orderVaries by product family, and between stock supply and new OEM tooling. The minimum for your models is stated in the preliminary quote — we do not publish one number for the whole catalog.
Working daysSample lead time is quoted in working days; production and transit are quoted in calendar days. We state which is which on every quote.
Before you ask

What we quote rather than publish

A lead time without a quantity band is a guess, and we would rather hand you the quote than the guess.

  • Tell us the models, the quantity and the destination, and the quote states the lead time for that order rather than a catalog average.
  • Sample cost and freight are usually charged and creditable against the first production order.
  • Nothing ships without the document set, so the lead time you are quoted includes the paperwork rather than adding it afterwards.
Lead time FAQ

Calendar, working days and what delays a run

How fast can I get a sample?

Five working days from existing molds, in any of the seven finishes. Sample cost and freight are usually charged and can be credited against the first production order.

Are the 25–35 days calendar or working days?

The production band is stated in calendar days after deposit and artwork confirmation; the sample lead time is stated in working days. Every quote says which unit each date is in.

What can delay a production run?

Artwork, markings, tooling, a finish change, or a barcode assignment that has not been decided. Each one has to be approved before production is released, and each one restarts the count at approval.

Do you hold stock?

Stock supply exists alongside production, and it is the faster route when the model you need is on hand. We do not publish a stock list — name the models and we state the position with the quote.

When do the documents arrive?

With the shipment: UL certificate, UL test report, commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and product submittal sheets. Private-label orders add the markings, packaging design and barcode assignment documentation.

Send the list, get the package back

Model list, quantities and project type is all we need to start. The quotation comes back in one business day with the specification sheet for each line item, the listing reference it holds and the packing detail for the DC — one document, not four.
