Installation steps held for TM-7
Taken from the manufacturer installation data for this model. Local code editions still govern where the device may be used.
Turn off the breaker, verify the box is de-energized with a voltage tester or multimeter, and identify the two loads controlled by the top and bottom rockers.
Determine whether the switch will use one common feed or two separate feeds. For split-circuit use, confirm the break-off fin and terminal markings on the actual device before wiring.
Locate the incoming feed conductor, the two switched-load conductors, and the grounding conductor. Keep any neutral splice handled according to the project wiring method and product instructions.
Connect the feed and two switched-load conductors to the marked terminals for the top and bottom rockers, then connect the bare copper or green grounding conductor to the green grounding terminal.
Fold wires neatly into the box, mount the dual rocker switch, install a standard single-gang decorator-style wallplate, restore power, and test each rocker separately.
