Installation steps held for TM-1
Taken from the manufacturer installation data for this model. Local code editions still govern where the device may be used.
Turn off the breaker and confirm the switch box is de-energized with a voltage tester or multimeter.
Remove the wall plate and old switch, then identify the incoming hot conductor and the switched-load conductor going to the light or load.
Label the conductors if needed, then strip the wire ends to the length required by the new switch.
Connect the incoming hot wire to one brass or dark terminal, the switched-load wire to the other brass or dark terminal, and the bare copper or green wire to the green grounding terminal.
Keep any neutral splice tied together unless the device instructions require otherwise, fold wires neatly into the box, mount the switch, install the wall plate, restore power, and test the connected load.
