Two minutes of video, and the questions it cannot answer
A production video can show you assembly, testing and packing activity. It cannot show listing coverage, SKU-level documentation, packaging accuracy or consistency between shipments. Those live in the paperwork — so this page carries both.
Wiring device production line, start to finish
Filmed on our line in Lishui: device assembly, electrical testing, inspection and packing for GFCI, USB outlet and receptacle models.

Sorting visual evidence from documentation
This is the most useful thing we can tell a buyer about factory videos, including ours.
| What the video does show | What it cannot show |
|---|---|
| Assembly stations operating, with operators present | Whether the model designations you were quoted sit inside the active listing record |
| Electrical testing and inspection stations on the line | Which AQL level is applied at visual inspection, and whether test records are kept per batch |
| Packing and carton handling at the end of the line | Whether your carton artwork, UPC and pack count will match the approved sample |
| The scale of the floor and the equipment in it | Whether the same line, tooling and staff will produce your container next quarter |
None of the right-hand column is a red flag on its own. It is simply a different kind of evidence — and it is the kind you can hold a supplier to in writing.
What to verify before the PO, with us or with anyone else
These are the places a sourcing conversation usually slows down. Each one is answerable in writing in a few minutes — if the answer takes a week, that itself is the answer.
Open the UL directory and check the applicant name, the manufacturing location and the product category on the record — not the brochure copy.
The SKU you are quoted has to fall inside the model designations the file covers. Amperage, voltage, TR, WR and self-test variants are where this usually slips.
The manufacturing address on the record should match the one on your quotation and on the country-of-origin marking.
TR, WR and self-test markings each have to map to something the listing covers for that SKU.
Which AQL level, whether records are retained per batch, and what happens to units that fail in line.
The brand on the carton and the company on the listing record are not always the same. Get that in writing before artwork is approved.
Instead of a video, do this
A live walkthrough with your own questions beats an edited clip, every time — and a factory that will not do it is telling you something.
- Ask for a live video call during a production run, not a pre-recorded file
- Walk the stations in your own order and ask the operator how the unit is tested
- Request a photo of your actual carton and UPC labels at the packing station
- Book a third-party pre-shipment inspection before the container leaves, through your own inspector
- Visit in person if the volumes justify it — audits are hosted Monday to Saturday
The same four areas, photographed
Taken on the plant floor. Use them as the shot list for the live call.

Answers the video page raises but does not settle
We would rather leave a line empty than fill it in from memory. Ask your sales engineer and we will get the figure from the plant.
How to arrange a visit or a live walkthrough
Audits and plant visits are arranged through your sales engineer and depend on the production schedule that week.
- Third-party inspectors and customer quality teams are hosted on site, Monday to Saturday.
- Live video walkthroughs are booked against a production run, so the line is actually working when you look at it.

Send the list, get the package back
Model list, quantities and project type is all we need to start. The quotation comes back in one business day with the specification sheet for each line item, the listing reference it holds and the packing detail for the DC — one document, not four.
